FAQs

Are your products natural?

Yes. Everything we make uses real, recognisable ingredients — beeswax, plant oils, butters, resins, herbs and essential oils — sourced from UK producers wherever possible. No parabens, no lab-made fillers, no fragrance oils pretending to be the real thing. Every ingredient is listed in plain English on the label.

We don’t use the word organic on our labels because we’re not certified by the Soil Association — certification is expensive and we’d rather put that money into better ingredients. Many of our suppliers are organic; we just can’t legally pass that claim on without paying for the badge.

How long do your products last?

All Our perishable products come with a shelf-life and will keep as long as the recommended ‘How to use’ instructions are followed. A little goes a long way, so it is best to follow any instructions on the back of Our products to ensure the longest life for your purchases.

Are your products Vegan?

All of our range contains beeswax, so we describe ourselves as vegetarian, not vegan. Our beeswax comes from UK apiaries where the welfare of the bees comes first when we can.

Do your products work?

Yes — but we’ll let the products do the talking rather than make big claims here. The waxes waterproof gear, the oils condition wood, the balms protect leather, the lip balms moisturise lips. They do what’s on the label. The rest is for you to judge.

If you’ve bought something and you’re not getting on with it, tell us. We’d rather know.

Are they safe for sensitive skin?

Our skin and lip balms are made from food-grade and cosmetic-grade ingredients with no synthetic fragrance or harsh additives. Full ingredient lists are on every label and on the product page. If you’ve got a known allergy — to nuts, beeswax, specific essential oils — check the ingredients first or drop us a message.

Do you do custom orders or wedding favours?

Sometimes, depending on the time of year and the size of the run. We can do custom labels, gift sets and small bespoke batches. Get in touch with what you’ve got in mind and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can do it.

How do you ship?

All UK orders ship via Royal Mail or a tracked courier depending on size. We aim to dispatch within three working days of an order — sometimes sooner, occasionally a day or two longer if a fresh batch is being poured.

What if something arrives damaged or I change my mind?

Get in touch within 14 days and we’ll sort it. Damaged items get replaced; unopened items can be returned for a refund. We’re a small workshop, not a faceless retailer — talk to us and we’ll be reasonable.
